How to travel with a Yorkie by car??

How to travel with a Yorkie by car? According to animal.discovery.com
Small dogs can make wonderful travel companions, but the American Automobile Association estimates that 30,000 auto accidents are attributed to unrestrained pets each year.
Certainly, you will have to do everything to ensure safety on a road both for you and your dog. Basically there are two options:
  • a harnesses
  • a well-ventilated crate or carrier
Below I present some examples of dog carriers appropriate to use while travelling by car.
The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) recommends a carrier with enough room for your dog to stand, sit, lie down and turn around. Just make sure you secure the carrier with a seatbelt in the back seat of the vehicle.
If you are planning a longer trip, which will last a couple of hours don't forget to take breaks for a walk! It is crucial to reduce the anxiety of your dog, you should familiarize your dog with your vehicle and his seating accommodations before the trip takes place! Your dog will not be stressed because of the new situation. How do you like the pics below? :-)
