I don't know how about your dogs, but mine doesn't want to eat canned dog food. She sometimes eats better-quality dry dog food, but anyway, I cook for her. She likes to eat cooked meals everyday. She eats small portions, and I also chop them into small pieces. Seriously, you don't need to be a talented cook to be able to prepare a homemade nutritious meal for a Yorkie.
Cooking food for a dog is not time-consuming, but if for some reasons you want to buy some food as well, it is better to read some reviews/ratings online.
If something is more expensive, it doesn't necessarily mean that it is better!
